i was thinking would it be good to have an set-up that if you have a speacil item you get a smaller or no penalty for death/respawn

this item however would have to be handed out to players or maybe even a very hard encounter

An ultra powerful amulet that is worn around the neck. Upon death, you lose nothing but the amulet disappears- so it can only be used once. This should be a quest item or a VERY expensive piece to be bought from a special hidden NPC.

That's my idea anyway.

well yes an amulet is good. what i was thinking is more of a stone (like the rouge stone in HoTU and how it is used to activate a portal) this stone would be set as plot in order no one sell it to the vendor...

I'll add it to my list.  We could make it a quest a player receives from whatever religion's temple they worship at.  The item would be the diety's reward for their service in performing the quest.  The death script would check for the item being equiped, that way if you didn't want to use it you would not have too.

What do you think?

yea that would be bettewr so that they can save it.. it would start a convo that asks if they want to use the item... ill send an erf of the item and a death area that you go when you die it would be about a 4*4 area

Smiley  I love this. This is the best managed PW I've seen yet, At least for once people are debating things in a civil manner rather than flaming eachother to death!

Well there is no reason to get hostile about ideas anyway ... I have different views on what death should be ... but the majority will rule on most things ... We are open to suggestions and welcome them ... We are hoping to make a good PW for people to have fun with ... Thanks ... and invite your friends ... we'll have all sorts of fun ...

It really is our intent to have a player driven world.  I know other servers make that claim as well but I've yet to really see one and that is what I really want.
