The Den of the Wolf is an organization of people devoted to protecting and preserving nature.  While many of these people also worship the gods of nature it is not a requirement.  The Wolf protects woodlands and wild areas of Lemnos and to desecrate nature is summon the wrath of nature itself.  Therefore, members of the Wolf must hold a spirituality about the land and the wilderness.  Members of the Wolf consider themselves stewards of the land and will protect nature against all offenders.  Furthermore, the Wolf abhors waste in nature and as such members of the Wolf live in harmony with the land, taking only what is needed for survival or to maintain the balance of nature.

The Wolf accepts all races and the following classes.

Druid
Ranger
Cleric
Fighter
Arcane Magic users whose focus is not in the necromantic arts, which is an abomination to nature.

I don't know if we should worry too much about good/evil simply because I will have to create more guilds.  Obviously the chaos guild has to be evil and the Knights have to be good but I would prefer to keep the initial number of guilds small so the community effect will take hold sooner.

What say ye?

I've moved this from the DM forum so everyone can take part in the discussion.

i dislike alignment restrictions, simply because while alignment should dictate how a character is played, he or she is not walking around with a sign exclaiming what alignment he or she is.  if a player truly wants to join the nature guild, he or she should be able, providing there's a good reason for that player to want to join.  Also, class restrictions can hurt too, as a rogue may want to focus more on wilderness than city, and perhaps be inspired to become a ranger after joining the guild.  Also i'm sure there are various monk orders that worship nature or some wilderness god or some such, and i bet others can come up with good reasons why their character may wish to join any various guild.  I agree that it is unlikely that a blackguard may wish to join, but then again he or she is not wearing a sign saying 'i'm a blackguard" either.  although i'm not really arguing that blackguards SHOULD be allowed, but there has to be exceptions.  it may be an opportunity for him to rise in the ranks and corrupt nature or some such.  You could also break up the guild into full members and 'friends of the guild' as well.
