Lots of miscellaneous updates. The most critical update involves new characters.
Racial starting points are enabled and are as follows:
Human Churberg
Dwarf Kel'Nuzad
Halfling Noisington
Elf Varna Lond
Half Elf Chuberg
Half Orc Churberg (this will change to Dalair)
Currently there is a 10 second delay between the loading of the start location and the jump to your starting point. There is no way around the two step process and the 10 seconds is to provide enough time for the start area to load before making the racial jump. I assumed 10 seconds would be long enough for a dial up connection but my cable modem barely loaded in that amount of time so please let me know if you have issues with this. If you do have issues you will most likely end up stuck in the OOC area, my appologies.
We are changing the respawn code on death so that unbound players respawn at their racial start point. At the moment this is not working and our testing showed PCs respawning where they died.
Roads link all cities and towns with properly labeled roadsigns. A portal is also in place to help you traverse from the Dwarven mines south of Karik across the mountains, substantially shortening the journey to Kohlis. The world map has been updated to show these changes.
NPCs have been added to each starting location to help provide information and guidance to new players.
We started work on adding commodity exchanges to each major city but ran into some code issues. Right now you could be in Churberg and get a delivery to Kohlis. We will change the code to prevent exchanges from offering jobs outside the city they are in.
