We had intended to use the player guild system on the server; however, it is completely inadequate. I'm going to start scripting some basic guild functions this weekend but the guilds will not be persistent until we have a script to store player variables in SQL.

I'll update this forum once the scripts are in place.

Please post any suggestions you may have for guilds in the suggestions forum.

humm i like the idea however i also oppose it at the same time... reason being is that the guild list may get overfilled.. if there was a way to have a limit say.... (xPC requried for a guild)

Well these are not going to be PLAYER guilds in the same manner that PGS is.  We are going to create 3 or 4 that are appropriate for the story that players can join.  They will be simple at first but will eventually have a lot of functionality for the players.

Yep, and if a player wants a specific Guild all the DM's must agree that it provides something the game ... and there should probably be some sort of player min number to start a guild as well ... Please post possible guild names in the suggetion section.

Thanks,

Yes ... if over half the DMs say yes, then it will be created ... I assume that the DMs know the story and have discussed the story progression. Based on this knowledge the DMs would discuss its creation. After a certain number of days of discussion a poll will be opened for a fixed number of days. At the end of the poll the majority rules ... in the event of a tie Perk31 and I will make the final decision.
